Movie Review: The Other Side of Heaven 2: Fire of Faith 2019
The Other Side of Heaven 2: Fire of Faith is a heartfelt and inspiring sequel to the original movie. The film is based on true events and follows the journey of John H. Groberg, a missionary who travels back to Tonga with his family to serve the people he loves.
One of the strongest aspects of this movie is the acting. Christopher Gorham delivers an outstanding performance as John H. Groberg, portraying him as a compassionate and dedicated missionary who faces numerous challenges but never loses faith in his mission.
The direction by Mitch Davis is admirable, creating a realistic and authentic portrayal of Tongan culture and landscapes that truly transport you into another world. The score complements each scene perfectly, adding emotional depth and heightening moments of triumph or sorrow.
Despite being set in 1960s Tonga, The Other Side of Heaven 2 resonates with themes that are still relevant today – faith, perseverance, friendship, love for others – making it an inspiring example for all viewers regardless of their religious beliefs.
However, while this sequel undoubtedly has many strong points like its predecessor did – both in terms of plot development as well as cinematography – some viewers may feel that it lacks something compared to its predecessor especially if they have high expectations from the first installment.
Overall though I would highly recommend The Other Side Of Heaven 2: Fire Of Faith. It’s an engaging movie filled with heartwarming scenes that will definitely leave you feeling uplifted long after you’ve finished watching it!
