The Night They Knocked 2020 Movie Review

Movie Review: The Night They Knocked 2020

The Night They Knocked is a horror movie that had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. It tells the story of a group of friends who decide to spend the night in an abandoned house, only to be terrorized by a group of masked assailants.

One thing that really stood out to me was the acting and characters. The cast did an excellent job of bringing their characters to life, making it easy for me to care about their fates. I particularly enjoyed Clara Kovacic’s performance as Sarah, as she perfectly captured the fear and vulnerability of someone caught in a life-threatening situation.

Another highlight of The Night They Knocked was the direction. Director Sean Roberts made sure every moment felt tense and claustrophobic, trapping me in this nightmare scenario alongside the characters. The use of lighting and sound design also helped create an eerie atmosphere that kept me constantly on edge.

The score was also worth mentioning, as it added another layer of tension and dread throughout the film. It perfectly complemented each scene without overpowering or distracting from what was happening on screen.

From a cinematography standpoint, The Night They Knocked impressed by creating visually arresting shots that added depth and richness to each scene. Props also go out to the production design team for creating such an immersive world within this abandoned house setting.

Finally, while some viewers may find fault with some aspects like special effects or dialogues; I found them sufficient enough for keeping with my interest in what would happen next? Though there were some scenes where special effects weren’t quite up-to-par with modern standards but even if less than perfect; they still managed effectively at creating suspenseful moments.
