I Am That Man 2019 Movie Review

Movie Review: I Am That Man 2019

As a movie critic, I recently watched the movie “I Am That Man” and it is safe to say that this film left me feeling emotionally stirred up. This intense drama is about a military veteran named Travis Fox (portrayed by Matthew Marsden) who struggles to reintegrate into civilian life after serving in combat. The plot delves deep into Fox’s mental state as he tries to cope with PTSD, addiction, and the loss of his wife.

Marsden’s portrayal of Travis Fox was outstanding; he brought this character to life in such a realistic way that it broke my heart watching him struggle with his inner demons. The supporting actors did a great job as well, making the audience feel as if they were part of Fox’s world.

The direction by Matthew Marsden was also commendable; he managed to capture every emotion perfectly on screen. The score by James Edward Barker played an important role in intensifying the emotions portrayed in each scene.

Production design and cinematography made use of shadows and darkness around Travis’ world effectively. It created a misery mood that was easy for me as an audience member to comprehend.

The editing was fast-paced during action scenes while slowed down when focusing on emotional moments; this made me feel like I was right there with Travis every step of his journey.

Finally, the dialogues were compelling and genuine, especially when delivered by Marsden himself. Every line felt natural and unforced which added more layers for understanding about PTSD soldier issues in modern society

In conclusion, “I Am That Man” was an exceptional piece of cinema that will stay on my mind long after watching it. Though some scenes would have been better if they had longer sequences or could have been more developed further at some points but still overall performance through its engaging narrative structure for portraying sensitive subjects makes it worth watching once at least!
