Movie Review: Full Count 2019
As I settled in to watch Full Count, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. But by the end of the movie, I was completely engrossed and invested in the story.
At its core, this film is about perseverance, redemption, and overcoming personal demons. The plot follows a young baseball player named Milton Young who must navigate life after a devastating accident that leaves him feeling lost and alone. Throughout the movie, we see him struggle with addiction and PTSD as he tries to come to terms with his new reality.
I have to say that the acting in Full Count was excellent – particularly from Eamonn Walker who delivered an incredibly moving performance as Rayford Gibson. The rest of the cast did a great job too – they all felt authentic and believable.
The direction of this movie definitely deserves some recognition too – there were some really beautiful shots that helped to tell the story effectively. And while there weren’t any elaborate special effects or over-the-top action scenes, it didn’t feel like anything was missing either.
What stood out most for me about Full Count though was how it made me feel emotionally. There were moments where my heart swelled with hope for Milton’s future but others where I felt gut-wrenched by his struggles. It’s rare for a movie to have such an impact on me but this one certainly did.
If I had one complaint about Full Count, it would be that certain plot points felt rushed or underdeveloped – which could have been due to its relatively short runtime (just over 1 hour). But overall, it didn’t detract from my enjoyment of the film too much.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a heartfelt drama with strong performances and plenty of emotional depth then you should definitely give Full Count a watch. It may not be perfect but it’s certainly worth your time!
