Movie Review: 100 Yards 2019
As I sat down to watch the movie “100 Yards”, I didn’t know what to expect. However, after watching it, I was blown away by its emotional depth and heart-wrenching plot.
The film follows the story of a man named Rich Porter, played brilliantly by Sean Patrick Flanery. Rich is a successful businessman who is diagnosed with ALS and given only 100 yards to walk before his muscles completely shut down. The film chronicles his journey as he struggles to come to terms with his diagnosis and tries to spend as much time as possible with his family.
One of the most outstanding aspects of this movie is the acting. Sean Patrick Flanery delivers an outstanding performance that showcases an array of emotions that resonate deeply with viewers. His portrayal of Rich’s painful struggle brings tears to my eyes.
The direction is also worth mentioning as it successfully captures both the physical and emotional journey of the protagonist in a way that makes us feel every moment along with him.
The score perfectly complements each scene, adding an extra layer of emotion that elevates the viewer’s experience from start to finish.
Cinematography, production design, special effects, editing, dialog – everything about this movie speaks volumes about its attention-to-detail approach towards filmmaking.
However, there are some scenes where pacing may seem slow for some viewers; yet it offers space for reflection on different characters’ perspective on life-changing events they face throughout their lives.
To sum up my experience while watching “100 Yards,” I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmingly touched and impacted by such a powerful narrative that portrays human strength triumphing over adversity. This movie leaves its mark on you forever; so get your tissues ready before hitting play! And if you’re looking for thought-provoking drama films without excessive violence or vulgarity (which often seems so common in today’s cinema industry), then this one should be added first on your list.
