Movie Review: Buck Run 2019
The movie does an excellent job of capturing the essence of small-town life and the struggles that come with it. It paints a vivid picture of the various characters in Buck Run, from the corrupt policemen to those who are trying their best to survive in this tough environment.
One standout aspect of this film is its strong performances. Nolan Lyons, who plays Shaw, gives an outstanding performance as he brings depth and emotion to his character. His portrayal truly captures both the frustration and sadness that come with not knowing where your loved ones are.
Aside from Shaw’s story, there are several other subplots that help keep things interesting throughout Buck Run’s runtime. From drug deals gone wrong to family secrets being exposed, there is always something happening on-screen.
However, one issue I had with this film was its slow pacing at times. There were moments where it felt like very little was happening despite all that was going on in terms of plotlines.
Overall though Buck Run is worth watching for anyone looking for a thought-provoking drama-thriller about survival in small towns. At just over 80 minutes long, it won’t take up too much time but will leave you thinking long after it’s over.
