Nine Indonesian terror suspects are now in official custody. They were apprehended after two days of raids by government authorities. Here's more.
STORY:
During two days of raids, an Indonesian anti-terror unit found assembled bombs in a house associated with the suspected terrorists.
One of the suspects is believed to be a close friend of Malaysian bomb maker Azahari Husin. The group... Jemaah Islamiah or JI... has allegedly played a key role in several attacks in Indonesia.
The JI militant organization has been blamed for a string of deadly attacks in recent years in Indonesia, including the 2002 nightclub bombings on the island of Bali which left more than 200 dead.
But many of JI's arrested members claim they don't agree with the violent ways of their organization's founder... saying it hurts the image of Muslims.
There have also been a number of deadly bombings against Western targets in Jakarta. But there have been no major attacks in Indonesia for more than two years now.
Although hundreds of militant suspects have been rounded up in recent years, some of JI's more dangerous members remain at large.
